The creator of YouKaster, a live streaming and mobile site that allows anyone to become a broadcaster on the web, has launched an IndieGoGo campaign to raise development funds.
Valley Cottage, NY -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/23/2015 -- YouKaster is a live streaming and mobile site that allows anyone with a mobile phone to instantly broadcast from any location, including meetings, sporting events, classes and family gatherings. Now, the creator of this site has launched an IndieGoGo campaign to raise funds for the development and distribution. YouKaster is a concept that will be built by developers, with the creator architecting the entire solution.
YouKaster was created by a systems engineer with more than 15 years of experience in IT, including working with hardware, NoSQL databases, automation and UNIX/LINUX administration. Looking at other solutions, he noticed that none of them featured a payment platform along with privacy. Both of them would bring huge benefits in many situations. For instance, if a user's phone is lost, videos will not be on the phone.
Now, YouKaster makes "broadKasters" out of anyone who has a mobile device. The IndieGoGo project, located at https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/youkaster#/story, will allow the creator to hire software developers, rent servers and CDN providers and develop the site. For every $20 pledged to the project, the recipient will receive a full hour of HD transmission to up to five mobile devices or PCs. The money will be used to build the platform by hiring software developers and architects as well as to rent cloud servers. Funds will also help to run the site once the site is operational. The creator also plans to integrate a chat application with file sharing to allow users to share their broadKasts with each other.
The IndieGoGo campaign offers users the opportunity to contribute any amount from $10 and up and receive a certain amount of HD quality video time as well as text messages.
