The Worcester Wreath Co. Announces Details of Rewarding New Fund-Raising Program

Flexible new program includes three options that cover all of the common needs and give fund-raisers access to leading wreath company's popular range of products, Worcester Wreath Co. reports

Harrington, ME -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/02/2015 -- The Worcester Wreath Co., the country's top source for handcrafted, natural balsam Christmas wreaths and more, announced details of the company's convenient new fund raising program. Making it easy for schools, non-profits and other organizations all around the country to leverage the strong demand for the Worcester Wreath Co.'s sought-after christmas wreaths and other products, the flexible new fund-raising program is a truly special and attractive opportunity. For more than forty years, the Worcester Wreath Co. has been a leading provider of beautiful, environmentally friendly balsam wreaths and related products and was the founding force behind the now-nationwide Wreaths Across America charitable organization.

"With Christmas only months away, we're gearing up for the busy season," Worcester Wreath Co. Vice President Mike Worcester said, "Even as we do so, we are excited to announce our new fund-raising program. With three distinct options that will together account for virtually every need, we think this program is going to be a great way for worthy groups all across the United States to raise much-needed funds."

Working by hand to craft Christmas wreaths from the responsibly harvested branch tips of the balsam trees that are so numerous in Maine, Worcester Wreath Co. founder Morrill Worcester built the company up from humble beginnings in 1971. Sales that totaled 500 in that first year have grown consistently ever since, with the company now shipping over half a million wreaths annually.

In the early 1990s, the Worcester Wreath Co., seeking a productive use for some excess inventory, arranged to have many of the company's balsam Christmas Wreaths shipped to Arlington National Cemetery. Thanks to the efforts of volunteers who helped with both transportation and the work of placing the wreaths, several older sections of the cemetery that had been receiving fewer visitors were provided with wreaths.

By 2005, the program had grown to the point that it attracted attention nationwide, resulting in the founding two years later of Wreaths Across America as a separate non profit 501-c3 organization. Today, that group helps organize tributes to fallen American heroes all across the country, with December 12 standing as National Wreaths Across America Day.

In announcing the company's special new fund-raising program, the Worcester Wreath Co. continues this longstanding tradition of working to make the United States an even better, more generous place to live. The new program includes three distinct options that are designed to account for the varying needs of participating organizations.
