Hackettstown, NJ -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/06/2015 -- Reverse Order is an internationally touring rock band that came to prominence by becoming a semi-finalist on America's Got Talent. During one of their tours in 2012, they came across many students struggling with bullying and self-harming. Most alarmingly, some of them had attempted or were contemplating suicide. Many of the problems faced by these students were similar to those faced by the members of Reverse Order in their own lives. This is when they felt the need to reach out to these students and speak up for them.
The 'Reverse The Trend' anti-bullying program was developed to assure students of all ages that they are not alone in their struggle to overcome the odds of life. Over the last year, the members of Reverse Order have been sharing their own experiences in a powerful and interactive way with thousands of students that have been victimized by bullying. The objective of the campaign is to give the students the necessary tools to overcome the obstacles in their lives in a safe and positive way. The effectiveness of 'Reverse The Trend' is its unique use of music to not only educate, but also entertain the students.
Within a very short time, the 'Reverse The Trend' campaign has had great success.
- Reverse The Trend is now available in schools and outreach programs nationwide throughout the school year.
- Reverse Order has presented the program at over 275 schools in 33 states.
- Reports of bullying have decreased up to 85% in schools visited by Reverse Order.
At present, Reverse Order has over 150 school assemblies booked for next school year and many more schools want to be a part of the 'Reverse The Trend' campaign. Now, they need to raise at least $20,000 to get to these schools and inspire these students. An Indiegogo campaign has been launched to raise these funds. 100% of the funds raised go directly to bringing 'Reverse The Trend' to more students and making sure we can provide the tools to educate them.
