Derrick Smith Seeks Funding via Indiegogo to Support the 'Fashion with a Purpose' Project

The objective of this project is to utilize fashion as a way to fund research in the areas of breast cancer, tissue regeneration and biofuel. The funding requirement for this project is $300,000.

Atlanta, GA -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/08/2015 -- Derrick Smith is a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Plant Science from Fort Valley State University and an Associate of Applied Science in Biotechnology from Central Georgia Technical College. A dedicated scientist, his current areas of focus is biotechnology and agricultural plant sciences. In May 2013, he has completed his research on identifying relationships between soil characteristics and genotypes of natural Setaria viridis populations. At present, he is working on his Master of Science in Biotechnology.

The Women's World will be a fashion website like none other because it has been created to fund Derrick's research in his field. Proceeds from Women's World will also be spent towards battling some of the most pressing issues of the present generation. The website will offer fashionable heels for women at competitive prices. This will be a guilt-free shopping platform for today's fashion conscious women because their purchases will have a direct impact on making advancements in tissue regeneration, bio-fuel production, stem-cell research and battling breast cancer.

The biggest challenge for this project is to arrange adequate funds for the creation of the Women's World. The total expense for this project is $30,000,000.

This amount will be spent on:

- The purchase of land, construction facilities, laboratory equipment/materials.
- Labor charges.
- Social media management.
- Blogging, PR releases, and videos
- Fashion events.

An Indiegogo campaign has been launched recently to support this project. To find out more about this funding initiative, please visit http://bit.ly/1gffFI6
