The Film has just returned from Cannes after winning the 2015 Best Short Documentary prize at the NYC International Film Festival. The NYCIFF (New York City International Film Festival) announced that it has elected to submit "Malan Breton – A Journey to Taiwan", to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for 2016 Academy Award consideration.

Malan Breton is the designer and creative director of Malan Breton HOMME. He is an Alumnus of the Juilliard School. Malan Breton was born in Taipei, Taiwan; he currently resides in New York City. Designing since the age of 11. Breton got his start in menswear at the British heritage brand, Turnbull & Asser.
