When Will Siri Be the Heart of iPhone?

Los Angeles, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/17/2015 -- I was overly impressed when I first saw my brother using Siri on his iPhone. Siri has an amazing voice and she can answer to the questions precisely and more clearly. It surprises that Apple is not applying Siri as the heart of iPhone. Rather than touching and dragging items on iPhone, we could just ask it directly, like when talking to a friend. I am an experienced programmer and am certain that that can be absolutely possible. The only thing that Apple needs to do is add some features to Siri and use it as a default launcher on iPhone. With Siri as the default iPhone launcher, it would be easier to turn on your phone and only talk to Siri, nothing else. All this can be possible, but a few obstacles are preventing it from happening. Here is a look at those obstacles;

- The common users' habits

One of the obstacles that I believe is affecting the entire process and possibility is the habits of the common users. Basically, the common user is used to touch, drag and slide on their iPhone, so when it is all about asking the app, it becomes challenging. Even if Siri becomes the heart of iPhone, the common users will find themselves touching, rather than asking.

- Manufacturers fears

The manufacturers are also not ready to take up the risk of implementing new features to the smartphones. The fear of these manufacturers is that they are afraid they will not be able to sell those smartphones. For that matter, the development of Siri becomes difficult.

- Lack of interest of developers

Another challenge that makes Siri not the default launcher of iPhone is that the developers of the apps are not very much interested in the idea. Many developers are into other applications and not necessarily one like Siri. So how can Siri be iPhone's heart, if there are no other developers that are interested in making it better?

- Depends on high network connection

Another thing about Siri is that it will only function, if the network is high and reliable enough. Anytime the network is low, Siri will not fulfill some basic functions. When the net is low, Siri will not be able to carry out some tasks like the creation of reminders, voice-to-text or even play music in the store or on iPhone.

- Context and Recognition

One of the things that Siri does is to convert the spoken words into text, which is very impressive. The Siri app will highly depend on pronunciation accuracy. If you have a specific accent, it might be challenging for Siri to recognize what you are saying. This will need you to keep on repeating the command, in order for the app to recognize it. Even though it is loaded with a high technology to recognize what is about to be said, Siri can have some problem to differentiate some terms. For that, Apple must come up with a way for the developers to customize the service to know some specific terminologies. This will make it easier to use.

I really long to see Siri become the core of iPhone, it is very much annoying to learn how long it can take for it to happen. For that, I am preparing to introduce a crowd-funding campaign that is on Indiegogo, called 'Talkobot - Talkative Robot in Smartphone', which will be designed for smartphones.

There are a number of things that are pushing me to launch this campaign and they include the following:

- To prove to the manufacturers and the common users that Siri can be a heart of iPhone.

- Prove to the manufacturers that they can successfully sell the Smartphones that are loaded with Siri as the core of that phone.

- To show the users that they can enjoy a number of features that come with Siri, if it is the iPhone's heart.

About The Campaign
These are the main objectives of my campaign, which I believe that it will be successful. I am targeting a funding goal of about $100,000 for that campaign, which is about 110 backers. If the funds raised reach about $500,000, I will then send a proposal to the top technology companies like Microsoft, Google, Samsung and Apple. The proposal will be meant to convince the companies to develop new smartphones that are loaded with such apps like Siri as the default launcher.

If everything goes as expected, I really hope to see Siri as the heart of iPhone in 2016.
