All construction markets recorded growth in value terms until 2008, and thereafter declined sharply in 2009. The value of the Ukrainian construction industry dropped from US$14,221.1 million in 2008 to US$9,175.5 million in 2009. In addition to high interest rates, a contraction in government expenditure and the limited availability of bank credit further aggravated the construction climate. Over the review period, the entire Ukrainian construction industry registered a CAGR of 12.20%.
