Too often we take for granted our liberties and independence especially in this fast paced world where life seems to matter only on the laptop or computer screen and in the workplace. We take for granted our liberation which we would not have if not for brave veterans who have fought and continue to battle for that very foundation.
While we may face a nerve wracking day in a bombardment of emails and fast firing of the computer keys, we can not start to fathom the absolute terror of battle nor can we fully grasp what it must be like to come back to private life afterwards.
AS WSI takes a moment on this essential day to step away from our desks and stand up at attention, we also pay particular reverence to the daring veterans who will not go back home to their friends and loved ones. We give a silent thank you to their families and say a private prayer.
