In a recent press conference in New York, the pop-star Prince announced his upcoming tour titled, “Welcome 2 America”. Taking place all over the nation, this grand tour will kick off in December and will also feature other pop-funk artists. According to Prince, every show will be different and will treat the fans to something new.
Carlsbad, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/15/2010 -- Earlier this month the rock n` roll artist Prince addressed the media at the iconic Apollo Theatre and announced his nationwide tour, “Welcome to America”. While promising the fans great entertainment, he also mentioned that the concerts would showcase some of his favorite artists like Maceo Parker, Janelle Monae, Mint Condition, Esperanza Spalding, Cassandra Wilson, Sheila E and Lalah Hathaway. Prince said, “Welcome 2 America is everything you’ve been waiting for and more. I urge you all to come with your friends and families and definitely bring children because it’s going to be groovy”.
Prince in East Rutherford will open the show at the Izod Center and the arena will host three successive concerts. Prince in New York will hold the event at the famous Madison Square Garden. BET executive, Stephen Hill announced that, “The series of concerts will be full of surprises. Prince has always supported charity organizations and in these live shows he will be playing on a gold-plated guitar, which will later be auctioned to facilitate Harlem Children’s Zone.”
The news of these one-of-their-kind shows has created a lot of buzz among the fans and already they are lining up to buy tickets. Scott Briggs from TicketLuck.com has confirmed fans enthusiasm saying, “The sales of Welcome 2 America tour have certainly hiked. People are willing to pay large amounts to get hold of Prince Tickets. At this moment it’s one of the hottest events and the demand is on the rise”.
