Roger Waters visited Philadelphia on his The Wall Live 2010 tour last week which was a success. His concerts were a class apart with great cinematic animation and thematically based performances which aptly conveyed his message of optimism regarding human connection to fight all evil forces.

It was a thrilling live spectacle with three story high puppets and high definition projections along with the dazzling way Roger Waters conveyed his message. During the course of the concerts, a giant wall was erected brick by brick between the audience and the performers only to collapse towards the end. Though released under the Pink Floyd band thirty years ago, The Wall was essentially a rendition of Roger Waters’ private exorcism of the demons that have plagued him. However, the concept of the album is malleable enough to survive the years and is applicable to the concepts of today like terrorism, fanaticism and growing consumerism. And thus, the sheer thematic scale of his concerts tried to provide answers for the question that Waters had asked 22 years ago "Will the technologies of communication in our culture, serve to enlighten us and help us to understand one another better, or will they deceive us and keep us apart?"
A fighter plane crashes into the stage during In the Flesh, the towering puppets during Mother and Another Brick in the Wall, the animations of marching hammers and copulating flowers, and the sheer enormity of the wall itself highlights the main concepts of the 21st century’s first decade. It conveys Roger Waters’ belief “that just beneath the surface understanding is gaining ground. We just have to keep blogging, keep twittering, keep communicating, keep sharing ideas” as stated by his official site. The audience will experience it once again when they see Roger Waters in Fort Lauderdale. Roger Waters’ Los Angeles concert as well as will prove to be unique considering his previous concerts. Roger Waters in Las Vegas can be imagined to be another dazzler as the humanitarian comes to the sin city.
