The B-52s have been a household name since forming in 1976. The original band members- Fred Schneider, Kate Pierson, Keith Strickland, Cindy Wilson and Ricky Wilson- formed in a restaurant in Athens, Georgia and had their first performance at a friend’s house on Valentine’s Day in 1977.
