Opening of the new photovoltaic power plant nearby the Dubno municipality in the P?íbram county is being accompanied by an interesting fact; this modern 0.75 MWp complex was constructed, put into operation and successfully commissioned on a brownfield – the site of a former municipal waste dump. This is a site that due to its nature could not have been used for agricultural purposes or housing. The PVP Dubno thereby clearly hampers the set and wrong notion that photovoltaic power plants only take up agricultural soil and space for agricultural production.
