- Redmond currently serves as chair of the board of directors of WakeMed Health and Hospital System, one of the largest health care networks in the Triangle region. She is co-chair for the Wake County Citizens’ Facilities Advisory Committee (CFAC).

- She also serves on the board of directors and executive committee of the North Carolina Chamber of Commerce (formerly NCCBI), the Kids ‘N Community Foundation and Paragon Commercial Bank. Billie is the first woman to serve as president of the Fifty Group, a Triangle based by-invitation-only business networking group. Billie also serves on the advisory board of Toll Brothers North Carolina. In 2002 and 2003, she served on the Fayetteville Street Revisioning Committee and continues to serve on the Convention Center Steering Committee.

- Most recently, Triangle Business Journal presented Redmond with the coveted Women In Business Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognizes the area’s most accomplished women business professionals.
