London, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/25/2011 -- City Index takes a look at the activity shaping the spread betting markets on 13th April 2011.

The leader on the FTSE 100 this morning (April 13th) has proven to be ARM Holdings, which has seen its share prices rally.

As of 10:22 BST, the company topped the biggest risers after advancing by 4.02 per cent compared to yesterday's close, an increase of more than 22 points.

Such a trading boost follows the comments of Morgan Stanley, which once again pointed out its recommendation that investors should move to ARM Holdings.

Indeed, it was reported that investors' heads were also turned by the unveiling by Microsoft of a new version of Internet Explorer which runs on an ARM-based processor.

Meanwhile, Morgan Stanley noted it was "positively surprised that software development is already well advanced".

Furthermore, AllWinner Technology has chosen to license the Mail-400 MP Graphics Processing Unit and ARM Cortex-A8 processor for its high-definition displays.

GKN remained in second place on the FTSE 100 leader board following a positive trading update earlier in the week.
