Marion, IA -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/22/2011 -- Cedar Rapids Tire (CRT), a Marion, Iowa-based specialty tire distribution company, has just announced shipping availability to Canada. This service was previously unavailable and CRT is thrilled to be able to reach out to potential Canadian customers.

“We were having to turn down business from Canadian customers because it was too expensive to ship products to them,” says company president, Joe Greving. “It was really unfortunate, because people from Canada were calling us on a regular basis to order products.”

However, after many in-depth discussions with a variety of shipping companies, CRT has managed to work out a plan with FedEx that involves shipping a single truck load per week to the Canada border. This once-a-week method ensures that CRT doesn’t have to pass along any greater shipping costs than necessary to its Canadian customers.

Cedar Rapids Tire is a distributor for many types of specialty tires, including ATV, motorcycle, trailer and lawn tires. The company is one of a number of businesses owned by Iowa-based investment firm Top Tier Holdings LLC.
