About Prof. C K Prahlad (1941-2010)
This great son of India was born in Coimbatore, Kerala in 1941; he was 9th of the eleven children of a Sanskrit Scholar and Judge. Brought up in a family which treasured knowledge, Prof Prahlad completed his education from Loyola College Chennai, Indian Institute of Management Ahmadabad and Harvard Business School. He is known for his management works like "The Core Competence of the Corporation" (co-authored with Gary Hamel) and Fortune at the Bottom of the Pyramid. Among other important positions which he held in his life time Prof Prahlad was Distinguished University Professor at University of Michigan.
