Riders Help Feed Families by Contributing to Barb's Harley-Davidson Great Turkey Trade-in Event

Mt. Ephraim, NJ -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/08/2016 -- This past Thanksgiving, underprivileged families across New Jersey and Pennsylvania didn't go without chowing down on a delicious turkey thanks to Philadelphia's closest motorcycle dealer, Barb's Harley-Davidson. The Harley-Davidson dealership donated two overflowing freezers filled with frozen turkeys to the region's local food banks. The turkeys were collected through their Great Turkey Trade-In Used Bike Event, which gave customers up to $500 off towards the purchase of a pre-owned motorcycle in exchange for a turkey 20 lbs or larger.

One rider from Philadelphia, Terence Clark, traded in his turkey for a 2014 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special. Other riders also couldn't pass up the unique incentive, showing up at the dealership with an oversized turkey and riding home on a used motorcycle to call their own. The donation event was a success, feeding families in need this Thanksgiving holiday.

In addition to the Trade-In Event, Barb's Harley-Davidson, which also offers custom motorcycles in New Jersey and close to Philadelphia, has been holding a Toys for Tots toy drive. Riders, customers, and visitors alike have been stopping by Barb's Harley-Davidson to donate brand new, unwrapped toys to the program, which is operated by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. The collected toys will be distributed to less fortunate children in the area during the holidays.

The jingle "Oh what fun it is to ride!" resounds throughout Philadelphia's closest dealer, which had a variety of holiday promotions on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. One of their promotions was be one of the first 50 people to spend $100 on Harley-Davidson apparel, receive a set of vintage-inspired Harley-Davidson storage tins. Extending their community-giving further, they also held a Denim Upgrade Program that entailed the exchange of gently used jeans for $20 off a new pair of Harley-Davidson jeans. All used jeans collected were donated to veterans and homeless shelters.
