As an author, commercial producer and entrepreneur, she has seen many projects come to fruition. Her latest brainchild is the “Rock Your Kicks” do-it-yourself art kit for sneakers. With this kit, sneaker wearers will be able to hand paint and customize their canvas sneakers using an array of colors. Artists and non-artists will be able to creatively express their individuality by decorating their sneakers. Custom stencils will aid in shape creation, word design and numerical qualities such as dates. Decorating by free-hand is also an option.

Creative personalized sneakers could inspire the inner artist in those who use the kits. Customization of sneakers is so pricey in most markets that it is out of reach for most youth. With Rock Your Kicks, artists of every age will be able to create a design on a new or older pair of sneakers. By mixing the primary colors in the color palette, the younger artists will gain knowledge about creating new colors.

The kits are manufactured out of corrugated boxes which are made from post-industrial wood by-products. Rigid and durable, the green packaging aids the company in their sustainable mission.

Each box contains a canvas practice swatch, a paint pallet, five private label soft acrylic paint mixtures made uniquely for canvas sneakers, three paintbrushes, one washable stenicl sheet with original designs and an educational instruction sheet with color wheel.

The success of this campaign will help fund the project.
