Rose Takes on Microsoft, Amazon, Google and Other Large Corporations

British entrepreneur claims that these companies are infringing on his patent and owe him millions of dollars.

Bristol, UK -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/07/2014 -- Pay me now or pay me later. But if you choose the latter, it’s going to cost you. That’s the message British entrepreneur Edward M. Rose is sending to Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Skype, Apple iTunes and other large corporations that depend on the Internet to run their businesses. Rose claims he holds the patent for the software that these companies are using to upload and download data.

Rose first filed for the patent in 1997. It is currently on file as U.S. Patent 8,510,219 for “Billing management package for Internet access and web page utilization.” Virtually every major corporation on the Internet uses this patented software.

“The patent is approved and active and enforceable,” said Rose. “I’ve spent more than 14 years battling many corporations, including Microsoft. Everyone wants to have exclusive rights to this patent because billions of dollars are at stake. The rightful owners of this technology should be paid for their hard work.”

Rose has contacted many of the major corporations who use this type of software and has been so far ignored, thus setting the stage for a legal battle of epic proportions.

It could be the most costly litigation in history so Rose is seeking support, financially and educationally. He wants people to know that his claim is legitimate and also needs help with funding for legal expenses.

His current plan of public domain advertising is encouraging companies to come forward and negotiate a sensible settlement, thus avoiding exponentially larger penalties when the test-case is decided in the courts. Should a corporation conduct a buy-out, then it really will be a herd of bulls-in-a-China shop scenario.

Rose’s message is clear: Pay me now or pay me later at a much higher rate.

“These large companies have basically been stealing from me for many years,” he explained. “I’m giving them an opportunity to come clean and settle up, which is going to save everyone a lot of money and time. To date, Microsoft, Google and the others do not recognize my patent and refuse to make any type of payment. I’m calling their bluff.”

Rose is also appealing to the public through an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign that can be viewed at https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/patented-revenue-stream-from-internet-browsing

He is encouraging people to donate to his cause and, when the case is adjudicated in his favor, promises to refund double the amount of the donation.

“Once the courts rule in my favor, no one can run, no one can hide,” said Rose. “Those infringing the patent will be hunted and caught. And because it is law, they will have to pay a substantial penalty. They can confess now and only pay a very small nominal fee. Or they can take their chances and lose their ass by ignoring this legal announcement.”
