As a cosmetic center renowned for their work with dermal fillers, RR Aesthetics is excited at the prospect of an entirely new line produced by a novel technique.

The news comes from a February 7th press release from Allergan announcing the acquisition of Australian company Elastagen. Elastagen is creating injectables using recombinant human tropelastin, a substance that's crucial for producing elastin fibers in the skin. With the acquisition, Allergan will begin developing a new line that incorporates tropoelastin in the injectable's formula. These tropoelastin-based fillers will also be produced using a brand-new technique: Rejuvecross.

Rejuvecross is but the latest processing method used by Juvéderm to create specific consistencies and properties in their dermal fillers. Other Juvéderm dermal fillers, such as Juvéderm Voluma and Juvéderm Ultra, are produced using Vycross™ and Hylacross™ technology, respectively.

Although there is no news yet on how Rejuvecross will differentiate this new line, RR Aesthetics is still very excited that a new product is coming along the pipeline.
