London, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/27/2016 -- Scotland has come out as the top performer over the last quarter for specialist global recruitment company, Hayes, which has 5 offices in Scotland and over 140 recruitment consultants.

The renowned recruiter stated that the decline in the oil and gas sectors had been offset by the growth in Scottish IT and construction whilst the UK sector remained difficult. Scotland has delivered 7% growth where elsewhere in the North, profits were down 15%.

The group is a huge key global recruitment player, operating in 33 countries and is on track to drive more growth throughout Europe and is expected to male special dividend payouts as a result. Additionally Hayes commented that the UK markets were more difficult with public sector business in 9% decline and private sector business not faring much better.

Hayes also commented that there were vast differences between the UK private and public sectors within certain specialist areas such as accounting and finance. Figures had decreased by 11% for the public but had risen by 2% in the private sector.
