Scott Tucker's fabric and sewing Quilt Shoppe to host quilting contest in-store. Everything Entertaining to sponsor the event and publish photos of contestant entries.
Tacoma, WA -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/23/2015 -- Everything Entertaining, a website for fun and interesting posts, will publish photos from the upcoming quilting contest at the Scott Tucker Quilt Shoppe in Tacoma, WA. Contestants will enter up to two quilts in small and large size categories. The contest will begin this August.
"It's entertaining to quilt, and I think a lot of our readership like to quilt," says Harry Frank, contributor for Everything Entertaining. "The contest will bring out some amateurs and some professional quilt enthusiasts so it will be interesting to see who places. We're going to meet with a few contestants before the contest to see what their quilting process is like."
The competition will be judged in Tucker's Quilt Shoppe in the large back conference room. Contestants will be judged by a panel of three seasoned quilt experts on quality of sewing and creative design. The top three quilts from both size categories will be auctioned at a later date to raise money for homeless shelters in the area.
"We have not done a contest in the Quilt Shoppe before so I am excited to see what turns up," says Tucker. "My wife and I have been quilting for 10 years as a hobby and we love competitive quilting. I hope to see some of our customers and friends entries in the contest and maybe even some entries from the Everything Entertaining staff."
Everything Entertaining will sponsor the event which has no entry fee and will be open to the public. The contest will allow up to 100 participants, registration to the event is mandatory to keep track of each entry. An upcoming article on the Everything Entertaining website will publish photos of some early entries.
