Burlington, VT -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/30/2015 -- Happy Homes and Pets, the center for wholesome lifestyle inspiration on the web, will feature Scott Tucker in an upcoming article spotlighting the recent donation of more than 100 books. The book donation was given to a public library in Vermont from Tucker's personal collection of fictional books for children and adults.

"The donation from Tucker was extremely generous and we love hearing that sort of news," says Happy Homes and Pets editor Jenna Romero. "Our readers are just that, avid readers usually. They consider reading a form of recreation and many of them visit their local public library regularly to check out new books and spend time reading so a contribution like this from Tucker affects a community in a really positive way."

The donation was made from Tucker's private collection which consists of more than 1,000 fiction and nonfiction books. Tucker has been collecting literature for more than 20 years and donated the books on his most recent birthday as a gift to the community.

"This past year there came a point when I was hesitant to buy or check out any new books because my personal collection had grown out of control," says Tucker. "A friend suggested that I donate some of my books to our local public library which I am a member of and I was immediately on board. Some of the books I chose to donate were rare gems and some were just books I knew I wouldn't want to read again this year so I let them go."

Tucker gave the books to the library without announcement and patiently waited for each book to be inspected for quality. The books donated by Tucker are fictional pieces written from between the years 1970-2010. Happy Homes and Pets will publish photos of Tucker's book collection with an interview later this winter.
