Sean Biro, Owner and Operator of Wire Technologies, Announces KickStarter Campaign for New Product

Boca Raton, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/08/2014 -- Operating a full-service precision machine shop that produces the highest quality of prototypes and machined parts, Sean Biro of Wire Technologies is announcing a KickStarter campaign for his new product, the SafeKEYPER. The product was specially designed through a spring steel Wire EDM machine to provide users with a convenient item when their car is submerged in water. The SafeKEYPER will easily break tempered glass, and drivers will escape their vehicle before it is too late.

There are 400 incidents every year of people drowning in their vehicle, and research has shown it is due to the lack of a proper tool. Inside his precision machine shop in South Florida, prototypes have been made with a machined tip, a carbon steel insert, and a specially designed quick key release when an emergency situation arises.

“The SafeKEYPER has a sleek, ergonomic design,” Biro said. “It’s compact and lightweight, yet extremely rugged, and has been precision machined from various materials.”

The product is attached to a keychain so it is never misplaced, allowing drivers to shatter a window, cut the seatbelt, and get out of the car in seconds. The quick key release feature enables drivers to disconnect the SafeKEYPER from the car key while it is still in the ignition. The SafeKEYPER is designed to tuck away and hold multiple keys (such as door or storage keys) until they are needed. The design operates much like a pocket knife for keys.

The heat treatment and machining has effectively increased the hardness of the metal, making it close to the hardness of glass. It has been tested in an actual vehicle, and a video explaining the entire design and capabilities can be seen on KickStarter. To get involved in the funding of this unique, easily accessible, and innovative product, please follow this link to pledge by October 28, 2014. “I truly hope you never have to use this product, but if you do, I would rather you have it and never need it, than need it and not have it,” Biro said.
