Seegrid Director of Product Development Discusses Seegrid Supervisor on Manufacturing Revival Radio

Pittsburgh, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/03/2014 -- Manufacturing Revival Radio, a weekly podcast about the resurgence of American manufacturing, interviewed special guest Jeff Christensen, Seegrid’s Director of Product Development about the Seegird Supervisor. Todd Schnick and Todd Youngblood, hosts of the radio program interviewed the material handling leader. Seegrid is the maker of automated guided vehicles (AGVs) for the material handling industry.

Schnick and Youngblood reported, “We discussed Seegrid’s newest product offering, Seegrid Supervisor, which complements their vehicles, taking their philosophy of simplicity and flexibility to fleet management. Seegrid Supervisor is an enterprise application, installed in the warehouse facility with a small network appliance. Using a web browser, the company can access a wealth of information about the Seegrid fleet in real-time.”

Christensen explained the simple implementation, “There is a piece of hardware that will get installed, like in an IT room somewhere, it needs to be connected to the wifi network that is already there, and then you’re pretty much done. You open a web-browser and the vehicles themselves will get the IP address of the Seegrid Supervisor and that’s it.”
