Established in Melbourne, Australia in 2007, SEO Agency grew quickly off the back of SEO, opening the Singapore branch in 2011. SEO Agency, however struggled in the Singapore market. With limited digital products, the business only managed to acquire 60 clients in two years.
Creating a competitive edge with Google Partners
Google Partners is a program which gives agencies the resources and training they need to ensure their client’s online marketing is effective.
Only offering search engine optimization products meant SEO Agency was unable to compete effectively with rival agencies. “We would lose business to our competitors who were offering many more services than we were. SEO is very unpredictable; we needed to ensure we had alternative revenue streams. Like any business, the more you have to offer to clients the better,” said Rhyce.
Through Google Partners, SEO Agency was able to access training and support which helped in expanding the services. Rhyce added that, “Being able to access extended support from Google Partners has been a fantastic help in the way we manage our accounts. A simple call or email to our Google account strategist whenever we need help is an absolute asset. It feels as if we have a colleague that works for both SEO Agency and Google.
Google Partners is particularly helpful when SEO Agency is working with clients in industries they are unfamiliar with. “We had a pharmaceutical client who wanted to start a Google AdWords campaign. This was our first client in that industry and being able to leverage on the experience of the Google's in-house experts meant that we could hit the ground running without having to spend the first few months acclimatising to the industry.”

SEO Agency’s collaboration with Google Partners has been a great success. Their AdWords business has grown and now accounts for about 30% of their revenue.
