Boston, MA -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/17/2015 -- She Sells Cheese Shells is a Kickstarter for an amazing food truck that is taking mac and cheese to the next level – of crazy. This is not your Mama's Mac; classic is ooey-gooey with a kick, and every month there are multiple creative, mouth-watering variations. Her menus range from New England Mac; using only local flavors, to fair fare; a mac and cheese laden savory waffle cone, to a college students' delight; a mac and cheese tuffed grilled cheese. Samantha also features vegan macs and a fun selection of creative dessert macs.
Samantha Jacobs is the culinary genius behind this brilliant idea. She is a trained chef with a dream of owning a food truck. She Sells Cheese Shells is a project that is close to her heart. As a child, she loved to modify the blue-box mac and cheese her mom used to buy her - She would use food coloring to make her mac and cheese beautiful.
Once Samantha realized she wanted to take things seriously with mac & cheese, she became her own advocate. She entered competitions to allow others discover her version of the dish. Over the last two years, she has received multiple awards for her cheesy concoction. Samantha was also in the top 24 teams for casting for Food Network's The Great Food Truck Race.
There is a reason Samantha is so passionate about her business. She has a rare kidney disease, called FSGS. Recently she had to undergo chemotherapy to treat it. One of the few foods she could palate during treatment was mac and cheese. She wants to launch her food truck in order to pay off her medical bills and donate to NephCure, an organization that funds research for FSGS and Nephrotic Syndrome. NephCure will also assist in the process of finding a matching kidney donor for Samantha.
Now, everything is set. From the business plan, to the menu, to the charisma, all is ready. The only thing lacking is the truck. A Kickstarter has been launched to raise funds for She Sells Cheese Shells.
