Shout Factory Will Release Transformers: The Movie 30th Anniversary Edition in 4K and Blu-Ray

To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Shout Factory has confirmed to release The Transformers: The Movie in 4K and Blu-ray on September 13. The new edition would extra features like digital copy, brand-new documentary, audio commentary, etc.

 

Shenzhen, Guangdong -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/15/2016 -- It's been 30 years since Transformers: The Movie first rumbled onto screens. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of this original Transformers movie, Manga Entertainment, Hasbro Films, and Shout! Factory have planned to release a remaster of the original animated Transformers movie in 4K and Blu-ray. The anniversary edition releases on 4k Blu-ray and DVD September 13, 2016 in North America and December 12, 2016 in the UK on 4k Blu-ray.

As to the remaster, Shout Factory, the independent US. distributor, focused on restoring much of the detail that was lost even included in the original theatrical release of the film. Fans could either choose to view the 4K Transformers: The Movie 30th Anniversary Edition with 4K Blu-ray player or 4K movie player plus 4K display to get crisper movie experience at home.

For the details of the new edition movie content, Transformers: The Movie 30th Anniversary Edition contains extra features like featured clips released by Manga UK, a digital copy of the film. The bonus features include: a brand-new documentary called 'Til All Are One, which includes interviews with the cast and production crew of the movie, and an audio commentary with director Nelson Shin, story consultant Flint Dille, and star Susan Blu. There are also featurettes, animated storyboards, trailers, and TV spots.
