The auction house sells a variety of vintage and antique pieces and are widely known for its vast assortment of immensely valuable collectibles.
Last month, Bodnar's Auction sold a signature Paul Evans sculpture. The piece, made by Paul Evans in 1974 in his studio in New Hope, PA, is a beautiful and original sculptural front floating sideboard. This piece has a sculpted and painted steel front with detailed patchwork copper throughout the top and on the sides. On top of the sculpture sits a single piece of black slate. This sculpture, in particular, is unlike any other piece Paul Evans had created, with unique designs throughout. A visible date of 1974 can be viewed on the base of the sculpture.
The piece was purchased from the Paul Evans Studio in New Hope, PA in 1974 by a local Monmouth Beach estate and has remained in the family ever since. After bringing it to Bodnar's Auction on March 28, 2019, the famous sculpture sold for a ticket price of $78,000.00, which totaled to $89,200.00 after fees.
