Burnley, Lancashire -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/26/2016 -- Time Warner Cable Business Class has recently conducted an online survey involving 800+ consumers from February 2016.

Asking the participants a chain of questions regarding small business shopping preferences and concerns, the aim of the said survey was to identify key factors affecting their loyalty and patronage.

The findings were as followed:

- 36% of the people questioned didn't shop at small businesses that don't have websites

- Around 1 in 5 of the consumers surveyed do not shop frequently at small businesses that fail to respond to comments on review sites such as Yelp

- 79% of questioned individuals said it is important for small businesses to take measures to keep customers data secure – both personal and financial

- An average of 68% of consumers said including a photo and story on a website about the business is a somewhat effective method to attract and retain custom
