The product will extend their wide range of SPF testing equipment sold to cosmetic companies, clinical research laboratories and formulators.
Solar Light Company is an industry leader in the in vivo SPF and broad spectrum markets. They possess a wide range of high quality Solar Simulators designed specifically for these types of testing. The new product will extend its influence in the in vitro broad spectrum testing arena, joining their pre-irradiation simulator for rapid pre-irradiation of PMMA plates used in the process, providing a complete solution for users.
The SPF-290ASTM Analyzer is a fully automated integrated turnkey system. The product includes a CPU, keyboard, monitor, and mouse, along with a data acquisition board and drivers, I/O, communications and power cables. All of this comes packaged as a convenient, self-contained desktop unit. Additionally, Windows® WinSPFTM v4.1 operating software is installed and tested. The OS includes a complete on-line help system, audio-visual training aid, COLIPA/ISO spreadsheet, single step control icons, fully functional toolbar, and tabular/graphical formats of data display. Likewise, it utilizes all Windows® multi-tasking features.
Each SPF-290ASTM Sunscreen Protection Factor Analyzer also includes a Validation Kit. The kit lets the purchaser perform comprehensive testing of the equipment in order to ensure accurate spectral and signal dynamic range performance.
