To keep traffic running smoothly and pedestrians safe, Miami Beach has sometimes shut down vehicular traffic on Ocean Drive, and it may do so again in 2019. During the most active hours, the popular roadway may be closed from 12th and 5th Street. Visitors should also know that certain streets may be closed to everyone except people that live in Miami Beach or employees of local businesses.
