Stretch Recipes Seek Funding via Indiegogo to Help Everyone Eat Better and Save More

The proposed food app from Stretch Recipes will help users enter their budget, choose their recipes, and automatically get your shopping list and matching coupons.

Austin, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/17/2014 -- The entire Stretch Recipes team is on a mission to help everyone eat better and save more. They are starting by building a Food App that will help users eat better and save more without lots of planning and without blowing their budget. Stretch pairs their cash on hand or budget with delicious, easy to make nutritional chef recipes and coupons. This app will be available for Web, iOS, and Android.

Stretch is unique because it
- Maximizes food dollars;
- Reduces food waste;
- Displays meals that are within one’s budget from a database of over 500 recipes.
- Generates their shopping list and recommended stores;
- Automatically recommends coupons that match what users actually have on their shopping list for additional savings.

Stretch Recipes is raising funds to reach their next milestone, the MVP (Minimum Viable Product). This MVP will enable them to test their product with a group of 100 people to fine tune for a great experience and make sure it's amazing when they go to launch the Beta. These funds will cover:
- Front-end design (UX and UI)
- Hosting Costs
- Content Creation
- Marketing and Research

Stretch Recipes has already won the Audience Choice Award at the Austin Tech Crunch Meet-Up. They have won tickets to Pitch at Disrupt in San Francisco in September. They are also one of six finalists for the UnLtd USA incubation and mentorship program. UnLtd will provide a year of support and $5k of seed funding to the winner. UnLtd USA will be a great place to truly test the product and see the impact it is making in people’s lives. The team would like to get their MVP ready before attending Disrupt.
