TalegaDentist.com Reveals That Virtual Reality in Dentistry Might Come to Life in the Year 2022

TalegaDentist.com also believes that virtual reality has the capacity to alter and distract the brain in order to decrease the pain felt by the patient. Therefore, if virtual reality is used in dental treatments, it is possible to ditch drugs and painkillers and solely rely on the technology.

San Clemente, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/20/2016 -- TalegaDentist.com, the leader in providing dental treatments owned by San Clemente's top notch dentist Dana Ghorab reveals that virtual reality might be the face of the dental industry in the year 2022. According to TalegaDentist.com, the intervention of technology in the field of dentistry has paved a way in order to offer the treatment and services that will treat any type of dental and oral health problem. TalegaDentist.com has a positive outlook regarding the possibility of using virtual reality in doing dental procedures in order to treat the simplest up to the most complicated oral or dental health problems.

In a data gathered by the World Health Organization (WHO), 60 to 90 % of school children have dental cavities while almost 100 % of adults experience the same oral problem. Aside from dental cavities, many patients experience severe gum (periodontal) disease and the incidence of oral cancer is increasing in the last few years. These factors are the reasons why dental health associations are finding ways in order to treat and prevent the increasing number of dental-related problems that may affect the health and lives of the patients.

Virtual reality is a technology that revolves around a computer-generated simulation of the three-dimensional (3D) image that has the capacity to recreate the sensory experiences. In the current age and settings, virtual reality is used in the fields of psychiatry and medical training. In connection with this, virtual reality technology is also used in various medical activities such as in the simulation of surgery, treating phobia, depression and PTSD evaluation, and training medical practitioners in conducting the treatments properly.

TalegaDentist.com also believes that virtual reality has the capacity to alter and distract the brain in order to decrease the pain felt by the patient. Therefore, if virtual reality is used in dental treatments, it is possible to ditch drugs and painkillers and solely rely on the technology. The only downside seen by TalegaDentist.com is the fact that the virtual reality machines are expensive. Because of this, there are only a few clinics that can acquire the machines and make use of virtual reality.

Although the technology of virtual reality is not affordable just yet, TalegaDentist.com believes that by the year 2022, the cost will be more attainable even for small dental clinics. TalegaDentist.com continues to strive as the best dentist San Clemente by providing the latest dental treatments and procedures needed by the patients.
