Texan Launches Nicolas Cage Movie Marathon for Indiegogo Interactive Campaign

App Maker Makes Movie Watching An Event

Round Rock, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/02/2014 -- October 1st has arrived and as promised, Brandon Overton is taking his MovieOnMe App Indiegogo campaign to the next level with his own Movie Marathon based on Nicolas Cage.

Currently in preparation for the marathon, Brandon has been turning on "Eye of the Tiger",”Low Rider” and watching YouTube clips of Nicolas Cage. He believes in starting small. 30 seconds up to 1 minute straight.

“Each training session,” says Brandon, “I've been increasing the amount of Cage I'm able to handle. I'm currently up to 4 minutes which is pretty far from the 12-16 hours a day of Nicolas Cage I'm going to have to get through for the marathon. I know I'm going to have to dig down deep to make it. I'm going to have to stay well hydrated, probably with some adult beverages such as Beer to take the edge off.”

Movie on Me is a smartphone app that takes Social networking and an event scheduler and crams the love of movies and television into it. Created by Brandon Overton, it allows users to find movies they wish to see and where they are playing and with whom they are watching. Users have the ability to easily create events around their favorite Movies, Television Series or sporting events just as Brandon is doing with the Nicolas Cage marathon to raise the stakes for his Indiegogo campaign. Whether it's Home, a park event, a theater, a bar - anywhere there is a screen is a location where a Movie on Me event can be held. The beauty of MovieOnMe is that unlike other event schedulers, events are visually displayed on a map where they can easily be found and shared, there are no Monthly fees to run a group – because there are no groups. No waiting to watch what you want to watch with other movies lovers.

“Some have suggested Beer is a performance enhancing drug in this case,” says Brandon, “But, I'm pretty sure when you are Caged till the campaign makes it - There are NO rules - only madness. I'm going to be keeping in touch with people through Twitter, the MovieOnMe Facebook page and the event will even be live streamed each day. I'm hoping that by staying in touch with the backers of this campaign it’ll remind me what it's all about and keep me from breaking.”

The campaign offers investors thank yous, RedBox movie vouchers, logo popcorn bags, their name placed on the app website and later to the app itself, YouTube videos of Brandon acting out contributors favorite scenes (The first was a scene from Titanic), free movies from the year they were born, being able to vote on the MovieOnMe logo choice, first looks at the app, T-shirts and even exclusive attendance at the MovieOnMe app kick-off meeting.

Brandon also understands not everyone may be able to give money to help launch this project, so he asks that those who cannot give monetarily help by spreading the word about the MovieOnMe App online through social media such as Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr or record a video challenge for Vine, Facebook or Instagram to invite friends to give to or share this Indiegogo fundraiser. Include #MovieOnMeCaged in all posts.

*Brandon added the live feed to the campaign page, just click on it and you’ll see the countdown to the event. He also added the schedule of day one and two so that people will be able to watch with Brandon and/or enjoy the live tweeting and fees involved with the movies
