Los Angeles, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/14/2015 -- Scriptapalooza is proud to announce that the application process for the 2016 Scriptapalooza Fellowship will begin on September 1, 2015 and will end on October 31, 2015.

The Scriptapalooza Fellowship program was developed to honor dedicated writers and to help further their creative process and skills. This fellowship allows fellows to be surrounded by like-minded professionals and individuals on their writing journey.

First prize, announced on February 15th, 2016, receives a Writer's Retreat in Costa Rica for five days and a six-month mentorship. Five additional writers will receive an online writing course and a three-month mentorship. Everyone who submits an application receives feedback on his or her screenplay.

Aside from a completed screenplay, application, and fee, applicants must answer the question, "Why are you interested in this fellowship and what do you hope to gain from it?"
