This October, Londoners catching a cab will be in with a chance of winning a ski holiday in the Austrian Alps. Spot the Austrian Quiz Taxi and you might be the lucky one!
London, UK -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/20/2014 -- Skiing dominates the national consciousness in Austria. When the famous men’s downhill takes place in Kitzbühel each year, the entire country looks on. And should an Austrian win, he’s guaranteed celebrity status for the rest of his life. There’s no doubt about it: skiing is a matter of the utmost importance to us!
Austrian operators have also been investing heavily in tourism infrastructure in recent years, with EUR 6 billion spent since the year 2000. Today the nation’s ski resorts boast the most regularly updated lift infrastructure in the entire industry and are the second most popular ski destination for Brits, with 2.1m overnight stays and 425,000 arrivals last season.
Unfortunately, many skiers and boarders miss out on heading to the slopes each year. To change that for one lucky winner, and to give people all a first taste of winter in Austria, the Austrian National Tourist Office would like everyone to take a ride in the Austrian Quiz Taxi.
On 13th, 20th and 27th October 2014 between 8am and 1pm, anyone who makes a journey with the Austrian Quiz Taxi is in for a treat. First of all: the cab fare is on Austria! Better yet, there’s a chance of winning a holiday to the Wilder Kaiser Brixental region - Austria’s largest interconnected ski area.
The bad news: to win the holiday, everyone has to take a quiz. But if one can answer questions like ’What is Zell am See-Kaprun’s Black Mamba?’ or ‘How many kilometers of pistes does the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang have?’ then one can be among the highest scorers at the end of the month and be entered into a draw for the holiday prize.
