In fact, 70 percent of people in the state admitted to gambling last year. One tool that gamblers have available to them is an exclusion list. By putting their name on this list, a person will not be allowed to enter a casino or go online to gamble. Adding one's name to the list is a voluntary action, but one that can assist those who find themselves having difficulty with disordered gambling.
"We want to be able to help gamblers learn to become more responsible," said Pryor. "By identifying the reasons that they gamble, and by making them aware of tools that exist, we can aid them in overcoming their addiction."
