The Isabella Santos Foundation Holds an Annual Blood Drive to Help Save Lives

Waxhaw, NC -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/31/2016 -- The Isabella Santos Foundation is a non-profit organization located in Charlotte, NC dedicated to fighting cancer and other types of disease. It was established in 2009 by the parents of Isabella Santos, a brave, young girl who died after battling Neuroblastoma, which is a rare form of cancer. Isabella defied the odds for almost five years and countless doctors called her a miracle. This Neuroblastoma Foundation continues to carry the torch on and will continue to fight for Isabella and other children who are battling diseases. Every year, they hold an annual blood drive to help save lives.

This Charlotte, NC cancer non-profit organization partners with the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas (CBCC) to make the annual blood drive a reality. The blood drive began in honor of Isabella because her life benefitted from receiving frequent blood transfusions. The Community Blood Center of the Carolinas is like family to the Isabella Santos Foundation, and they will never forget their dedication to increasing the quality of Isabella's life.

The Isabella Santos Foundation holds this event because they'd like to celebrate her life by saving lives. They love to see so many wonderful people make this small sacrifice in order to honor Isabella and others who have fought or are fighting cancer and other diseases. Many times, the difference between life and death is the availability of blood products. The more people who donate, the more chance these organizations have of saving a life.
