The Isabella Santos Foundation Is Encouraging Runners to Join Isabella's Dream Team

Waxhaw, NC -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/17/2016 -- The Isabella Santos Foundation is a non-profit organization located in Charlotte, North Carolina that fights neuroblastoma and other types of disease. It all began with a little girl named Isabella Santos, who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare form of cancer in 2007. This rare and deadly cancer affects about 750 children every year. Isabella bravely fought the disease, but her battle ended in 2012. She dreamed of a world with no more cancer, and so her loved ones founded this neuroblastoma foundation as a way to help other people fight this illness.

This organization is encouraging runners to join Isabella's Dream Team as a way to help raise money. The team is an endurance running program that helps raise money for the Isabella Santos Foundation while they also train for full and half marathons. It began in 2014 with 25 runners and over the past two years, the number of runners, the amount of funds raised and the team's social media presence have all grown tremendously. They are ready and looking forward to growing even more in 2016 and beyond.

Runners of all levels are welcome to join Isabella's Dream Team. To this day, they have collectively logged over 24,000 miles, conquered more than six full marathons and half marathons and raised more than $147,000 for the Isabella Santos Foundation. The runners from this team run all over the Charlotte area. The team also provides coaching, training plans, socials, team swag, motivation and much more.
