The Montfort Group has introduced a new counselor into the fold, with Laurie Poole stepping in to help couples get their marriages back on track and help people reconnect with their passion.
Plano, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/12/2015 -- America is one of the most proactive nations in the world when it comes to counseling, and their practitioners have led the world in the development of new techniques and approaches. These techniques can be used not only for the troubles of an individual, but for interpersonal problems as well. Cory Montfort has been recognized as one of the preeminent practitioners in North Texas, and her work at the Montfort Group in individual counseling is highly regarded. Her latest mission for the group has been to find the perfect person to deliver couples counseling, and she has reported that the search is now over with the appointment of Laurie Poole.
Laurie is a life line for struggling couples. Her natural ability to empathize helps people immediately feel comfortable, and she is able to dissolve tensions between couples by creating an equally supportive environment, setting up a pathway to productive discussions and disarming honesty.
Laurie earned her Master's of Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, after graduating from McGill University in Montreal. She received practical training at UT Southwestern, where she spent five years in the Department of Psychiatry's Family Studies Clinic. She has since specialized in marriage counseling and relationship counseling.
A spokesperson for The Montfort Group explained, "The Montfort Group proudly introduces Laurie Poole to our practice. She is a brilliant communicator and one of the best empathizers in the field. Her knowledge and life experience are unmatched in this line of work and we are extremely fortunate to have her on our team. Her expertise and knowledge will help us expand the impact we can have on our local community, improving the lives of those who are struggling and helping to prevent major problems instead of trying to cure them."
