Lionville, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/04/2016 -- The Uwchlan Meeting House, a nationally recognized historic building located in the heart of Chester County, Pennsylvania, is currently waging a GoFundMe campaign for raising funds needed to preserve and upkeep the richly historic landmark. A pivotal Quaker Meeting House for soldiers and the wounded through the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, the Uwchlan Meeting House is one of the most important historic buildings still standing in the 21st Century.
The Uwchlan Conservation Trust is responsible for the preservation and maintenance of the House, and started a GoFundMe page for spreading the word on the financial demands the House desperately needs to meet.
As a way to get the community involved and organically disseminate the message, the Uwchlan Conservation Trust is encouraging everyone in the community, and visitors near and far, to send in their stories and memories with the historic House.

The Uwchlan Conservation Trust is aiming to raise $40,000 on GoFundMe for the proper House preservation. This capital will cover the costs of a new boiler to heat the building, new windows to keep the building insulated, and new ceiling beams to keep the structure sound.
