Captain Stan Saffan of deep sea fishing experience and charter boat THERAPY-IV recently discussed Miami Beach’s recent initiative to reduce or even prevent smoking at multiple points in Miami Beach.
Miami Beach, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 01/30/2017 -- Miami Beach recently placed two signs near the southern end of Lummus Park at 5th Street and at 86th Street in the North Beach area. While the signs do say "Thank you for not smoking" and have an image that suggests smoking is banned, the decision to do so is entirely voluntary and there are currently no plans to enforce them.
Despite the possibility of confusion, the non-smoking signs are intended to be a social experiment, a way to possibly encourage residents, tourists, and locals to ditch the cigarette and promote a cleaner beach and environment.
