Freeport, NY -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/28/2018 -- This past November, Think Box Media had the privilege of collaborating with KesselsKramer on the incredible "Citizens of Copenhagen" art installation, displayed for two weeks in the windows of the new CitizenM Rådhuspladsen Hotel.
As a leader in large format digital printing services in New York and elsewhere, the impetus for collaborating on the project came from Think Box Media's success with the CitizenM hotel project in New York City. Following the project, KesselsKramer, an independent communications agency with locations across the globe, asked Think Box Media to participate in a similar project for the CitizenM Rådhuspladsen Hotel in Copenhagen.
Named "Citizens of Copenhagen," the art project consisted of the installation of printed images on 150 windows of the new hotel, with the goal of generating popular buzz. The pictures themselves consisted of Copenhagen residents who were photographed by Marie Hald. Upon completing the photography, Think Box Media printed the images and installed each print into a window, afterward installing backlighting to bring the images to life.
The project was left on display for two weeks as a public gallery to be appreciated by all the city's residents and tourists until the grand opening of the hotel in early December.
