Top Hotel Booking Frustrations Revealed

Hertford, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/20/2015 -- Latest research has found that a lack of room availability is the top frustration for business travelers when booking accommodation.

Travel management firm Egencia found that unclear cancellation rules and payment options as well not being able to view the location of the hotel versus the desired destination were among the other top concerns.

The study also revealed that brand was an important attribute among travelers when choosing a hotel with 64 per cent of business travelers in the US always stay at the same brand when traveling on business.

Egencia said that globally business travelers compare an average of two-sites before booking a hotel and almost one-third spend more than 30 minutes comparing hotels online before booking. Around 17 per cent spend more than 45 minutes searching for the right hotel with the average coming in at 34 minutes.

Luis de Souza, CEO of NFS Technology said: "Business travelers are not searching for ideas, but for a solution, expecting to book a room quickly and efficiently to accommodate their requirements. And in today's busy workplace, this demand is equal whether they are in an office or on the move and sourcing a room via their mobile.

"The complete process really has to be easy and seamless with all the necessary detail quick to find and digest on every device from a desktop to smart phone. Latest room booking software designed for hotels has the capability to provide everything, alongside dedicated travel detail, all in real time to keep the global travel industry moving."

For latest hotel reservation software, NFS Technology Group offers roomMaster with specialist online booking capability to offer 24/7/365 service for business and leisure customers, with all details and costs updated in real time.

With the business client increasingly looking for instant solutions to their accommodation needs, it is even more important for hotels to be able to manage rates in an automated manner. Hotel management software with integrated yield management, which automatically changes rate levels based on occupancy, will ultimately provide the best average daily rates (ADR) for hotel owners.

Luis concluded: "Getting additional support from specialist software for hotel reservations and management will help add that competitive edge to your property. And it is likely to make a difference to convince business travelers not to always choose by brand when an independent hotel is close to their destination. Such software has been carefully created to enable instant booking to ease the hassle for business travelers, whether it's directly with the hotel or via a booking agent."
