Katy, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/07/2014 -- With college graduations emanating in the spring, Toyota of Katy is proud to announce it will once again be promoting the College Grad Rebate program good towards the purchase or lease of a new Toyota. Spokesperson Michael Hartmann confirmed, saying, "We all know going to school can be hard on the checkbook, so with that in mind, the Toyota College Graduate Finance Program will once again be available those who meet the graduation, employment, insurance and credit criteria requirements."

The incentive, according to Hartmann, is significant, with no down payment or monthly payments for the first 90 days on certain financing programs on all new untitled Toyotas. Furthermore, the dealership will be offering competitive APRs on all new and used vehicles. "Students coming out of school need a hand to purchase what is often their very first new car or truck. Some have little or no credit established yet or very little money saved for a down payment. Therefore, the $750 rebate is quite significant. We're offering it on any purchase or lease of a new Toyota Camry (except Hybrids), Corollas, Matrix, RAV4, Tacomas, Yaris, or Prius c." The rebate is valid through July 7, 2014, according to Toyota Financial Services.

The program requires the graduating student show proof of current employment or contracted future employment with a start date within the next four months of the purchase date. Hartmann urges even those students who may have credit problems in their past to consider this financing program, saying, "If you meet all the program's criteria, but have experienced credit problems, don’t throw in the towel. You could still qualify if you’ve paid off your obligations within two months or less of the due date and do not have charge-offs totaling more than $1,000 in the past two years."

Hartmann goes on to say, "The great thing about this program is it applies to a variety of different types of students. You don't have to be a graduate of a 4-year college or university to qualify. This financing program and rebate also applies to students of a registered nursing degree program, an accredited two-year college, a two-year automotive program accredited by the NATEF or an electrician apprenticeship/certification program. And to top it off, you don't have to be a graduate this year! You simply have to be a graduate within the last two years."
