Traba Puts Culture First for Job Seekers - Raising Funds via Indiegogo

Traba is disrupting the 20 year old model of online job boards by building a tool tailor made for the needs and behaviors of digital natives. With $25,000 via Indiegogo, Traba will complete development of the first platform geared entirely towards job seekers’ needs.

San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/20/2014 -- The concept of searching jobs online hasn’t changed a great deal over the last two decades. With the job search options currently available, it takes almost nine months for a job seeker to find a job. Most of the popular job boards have very little to offer to the average job seeker. As a result, people often end up settling for jobs that they don’t really want.

“Job search is broken,” said Traba CEO Terrence Cummings. According to Cummings, “The key to placing more people in jobs that are a better fit, is helping people discover awesome companies that match what they value in a workplace. That’s exactly what we’re building.”

An average job seeker can find out suitable jobs only by understanding the employers’ real job requirements, as opposed to the generic information listed in online job postings, and work environment. This is exactly what Traba provides. The company is dedicated to helping people gain access to access to the information and networks that are extremely essential to build meaningful careers.

Cummings summarized the benefits of the product by saying “We know that skill match is just table stakes for filling jobs. By putting cultural fit front and center for the job seeker, we’re creating better and faster matches that benefit both sides of the market.”

At present, Traba.co has created comprehensive profiles of great San Francisco Bay Area startups, their area of operation, and work environment. Once site visitors have an idea of where they want to work, Traba provides personalized services that provide job seekers with the information needed to help them land great jobs. Very soon, the website will also provide a self-guided, step-by-step process for job seekers to land their dream jobs. Unlike average job search sites, the experience on Traba is rich, interactive, and personalized to job seekers’ needs.

Traba has already helped many job seekers land jobs that perfectly matched their expectations. Lindsey, a Traba user, strongly recommends this job search platform saying, “I just started at Jhana, a job which I found entirely because of Traba, and I could not be happier. I am so excited to have finally found a great culture fit and a job I get excited to get out of bed for.”

Cummings and Anuj Shah, the creators of Traba, are presently looking for funding support to build the infrastructure for the completion of their project.

The funding goal of $25,000 will be spent as follows:

-$10,000 = 3-5 weeks of web development resources.

-$25,000 = Web development resources for private beta of the new website.

The following stretch goals have also been created:

- $50,000 = Web development resources for full beta launch with 3,000 users.
- $75,000 = Web development resources for full beta launch with 5,000 users.
- $100,000 = Web development resources for full beta launch with 7,000 users

This Indiegogo campaign will close on November 28, 2014.
