Tropical Sails Corp Offers Tours for the August 2017 Total Solar Eclipse

Surprise, AZ -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/06/2016 -- August 2017 will be a grand year for astronomers, photographers, and astronomy enthusiasts alike as North America will bear witness to an astronomical phenomenon that has not happened in the USA since Feb. 26, 1979. The 21st of August 2017 will see the Moon casting a shadow on the face of the Earth as it blocks the Sun to produce a total solar eclipse. Tropical Sails Corp has organized three tours to observe this rare event.

The perfect alignment of the Sun, the Moon, and the Earth will cast the Moon's shadow on a path a little over 100 miles wide taking a wide arching through the USA including Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, Missouri, southern Illinois, eastern Kentucky, Tennessee and South Carolina. Solar eclipse chasers, amateur astronomers, and eclipsophiles from around the world will be converging on these areas of the United States to witness an astronomical event that has befuddled men throughout history.

The event will produce some of the mind-boggling effects such as remarkable solar prominences, the sun's corona, and some eerie lighting effects that will bring observers back to ancient times and relive the awe and fear of civilizations that worshipped the Sun God. As one client of Tropical Sails Corp aptly put is, " It is like seeing the face of God." In fact, day will be as dark as the night and spectators can get a glimpse of the different planets of the Solar System is a phenomenon surreal in itself.

According to Daniel Oppliger, Tropical Sails Corp's President, "The duration of the solar eclipse increases the closer you are to the center line of the eclipse as well as the apex of the eclipse ark. At Tropical Sails we will be largely considering historical cloud cover as well as the overall length of the eclipse."

Predicting west of the Grand Tetons will have the highest probabilities of clear skies; Tropical Sails Corp will offer three Solar Eclipse tours on the 21st of August 2017, setting up observation in the Teton Valley of Driggs, Idaho. The solar eclipse tours include the 8-night Teton Spring Lodge and Yellowstone Adventure, the 7-night Yellowstone, Historic Hatchet Resort and Tetons Solar Eclipse Adventure, and the 3-night Tetons Solar Eclipse fly-in package from Salt Lake City. The first two tours will feature a Snake River rafting trip, a wildlife safari in the early evening, and a traditional Chuck Wagon dinner.
