Carrabelle, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/02/2013 -- Paul Harvey Sr. passed away February 28th, 2009, Harvey was described by Robert D. McFadden in a New York Times article dated: March 2nd, 2009 as follows: "He railed against welfare cheats and defended the death penalty. He worried about the national debt, big government, bureaucrats who lacked common sense, permissive parents, leftist radicals and America succumbing to moral decay. He championed rugged individualism, love of God and country, and the fundamental decency of ordinary people."

Born Paul Harvey Aurandt, Harvey was the voice behind The Rest of the Story a Monday-through-Friday radio program, that began as a part of his newscasts during the Second World War and then premiering as its own series on the ABC Radio Networks on May 10, 1976, The Rest of the Story consisted of stories presented as little-known or forgotten facts on a variety of subjects with some key element of the story (usually the name of some well-known person) held back until the end. The broadcasts always concluded with a variation on the tag line "And now you know the rest of the story."

Since his death in 2009, the Universal Life Church World Headquarters of Florida and the Universal Life Church Radio Network has become the home of Paul Harvey and "The Rest of The Story."
