Phoenix, AZ -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/11/2017 -- Graphene-Focused Urbix Resources has been forging international relationships with research centers. These are intended to further the usage and knowledge of graphene and other graphite-based products.

Urbix Resources has a research lab in Mesa, Arizona and a milling and industrial powder processing facility in Hermosillo, Sonora State in Northwestern Mexico.

With other elements now in place, Urbix has recently begun communicating and collaborating with two international partners.

Centro de Investigation en Materiales Avanzados S.C. Unidad Monterrey, The Center for Research in Advanced Materials (CIMAV), is one of the 27 institutions coordinated by the National Council of Science and Technology, which is Mexico's entity for the promotion of scientific and technological activities. It also sets government policies in these matters, granting scholarships for postgraduate studies. Urbix is working directly with the Synthesis and Modification of Nano-structures and 2-D Materials Laboratory.

The Stewart Blusson Quantum Matter Institute (SBQMI) at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada is a new venture into the research of systems and phenomena explicitly involving quantum mechanics. The main initial thrust is devoted to working with key faculty that also have reach to the Flexible Electronics and Energy Lab which is a research laboratory focusing on the development of low cost and mechanically flexible photovoltaic devices and large area microelectronic systems.

Urbix Resources has initiated discussions with both of these highly respected organizations. The goal in both cases being shared graphene-focused products and technologies.
